Savitribai Phule Pune University is accepting applications for its Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (MSc) programs, including Global Peace, Security, and Strategic Studies, until March 20, 2025. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has released its official notification for admissions to various Postgraduate (PG), Undergraduate (UG), Integrated, and Interdisciplinary programs for the academic year 2025-26. The admission process is based on the Online Entrance Examination (OEE), and candidates are required to apply online.

Entrance Examination & Admission Process

• Admission to all courses is strictly based on merit in the Online Entrance Examination (OEE).
• The examination will be of 100 marks, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and, for some programs, a few descriptive-type questions.
• The entrance exam will have two sections:
  • Section A: General knowledge, aptitude, logic, comprehension – 20 marks
  • Section B: Subject-specific questions – 80 marks
• Negative marking applies, with 1/4th of the allotted marks deducted for incorrect answers.
• The merit list will be prepared based on the total score of Section A and B.

Eligibility Criteria Candidates in the final year of their qualifying examination are eligible to apply. However, their admission is subject to passing the final exam. For detailed eligibility criteria per program, candidates must refer to Annexure A in the official notification.

Reservation & Quota

• Reservations for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per the Government of Maharashtra norms.
• 30% seats reserved for female candidates in UG programs.
• Special reservations for Divyang, Orphans, and children of Defence Personnel.
• M.Sc. Virology admissions follow Central Reservation Policy.

Application Fees & Payment Mode

• General Category: Rs. 800/- per course
• Reserved Category: Rs. 600/- per course
• Payment must be made online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

2. Register and log in using the credentials.
3. Fill in the required details and upload necessary documents.
4. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
5. Download the admit card 5 days before the entrance exam.
