Revalidation of Registration 2025 for different levels of CA course under Revised Scheme of education and training. The following re-validation scheme is applicable for ICAI 2024-2025 examinations.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the revised scheme of revalidation of registration for various levels of Chartered Accountancy (CA) Course. CA Foundation Course, CA Intermediate Course and CA Final Course.
As decided by the Council of ICAI, the registration to the registration for Foundation, Intermediate and Final Course are valid for 4 years, 5 years and 10 years respectively.
In order to be eligible for ICAI 2025 examinations, the student must be having a valid registration number on the date of application to the CA examination. Therefore, please ensure that your registration to CA Foundation/ CA Intermediate registration/ Final Course registration is valid as on date of filling Examination Application Form.
Revalidation of CA Foundation Registration
Validity for Registration:
The registration for the Foundation Course shall be valid only for a period of four years from the date of first eligible attempt in the Foundation Examination under regulation 25F after the commencement of the Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Regulations, 2023.
Question: Whether revalidation of registration is permitted at the Foundation level?
Answer: Revalidation is not permitted at the Foundation level.
Therefore, you should have to ensure that you have valid registration before appearing in CA Foundation January 2025 examinations. However, those students who have registered earlier in Entrance/ PE-I/ CPT) are required to register afresh in CA Foundation to pursue their studies in CA Course. Re-validate CA Intermediate Course Registration
Validity for Registration:
Initial registration for CA Intermediate is valid for 5 years. You have to pay ₹400 for each re-validation and each re-validation of registration of CA Intermediate course shall be valid for 5 years from the date of re-validation.
Thus, you are required to ensure before applying for admission to Intermediate examination that you have valid registration. Please, check your CA Inter registration validity before submitting CA Intermediate January 2025 exam form.
All students who switched over to CA Intermediate Course from erstwhile PCC/ IPCC/ PE-II stream have valid registration period of 5 years and will be counted from the date of switch over to then Intermediate.
Re-validation of CA Final Registration
Period of Validation of Registration for Final:
Initial registration for CA Final is valid for 10 years. You have to pay ₹500 for each revalidation and each revalidation of registration of CA Final course shall be valid for 10 years from the date of revalidation.
A candidate has to ensure that his registration to the course is valid, before applying for admission to CA Final May 2025 examination.
Online Procedure for Re-validation of Registration to ICAI Course
- Visit official website of ICAI Self-service portal on eservices.icai.org.
- Login to your account or create new one if you are visiting for the first time.
- Under “Student Functions,” click on “Apply for Revalidation” or “Revalidate your current course.”
- Now fill up the revalidation form very carefully. Review your personal details, correspondence address, and the revalidation fee (which varies based on the course level).
- Click on “Generate OTP” and enter the CAPTCHA code.
- Enter the OTP received and click on “Validate OTP” followed by “Submit.”
- You’ll see a confirmation message. Click “Submit” again and then “OK” on the following prompt.
- Proceed to make the payment through debit/credit card, net banking, or Paytm.
Finally, after successful payment, your registration shall be re-validated to the respective term of 5 years or 10 years respectively.
