WB Panchayat Elections Repolling 2023
After the suspension of voting on 8th July 2023 due to the violence, the West Bengal State Election Commission gave orders to repoll 696 polling booths on Monday morning. West Bengal’s Murshidabad was the highest recorded election violence. The area emerged as the core of the violence in the state.
Reacting to the violence and the death that occurred in the 2023 West Bengal Panchayet Election, many politicians have criticised the state for dirty politics. However, to control the violence, the WB election committee has deployed four personnel Central Forces in every polling booth of the state and West Bengal Election Result 2023 will be released shortly. The data showed 36 people died since the notification for the election was published on the authorized portal of the election commission.

The state Election commissioner disclosed that The Trinamool Congress filed nominations for 85,817 candidates, the highest among all the parties. With 56,321 nominations Bhartiya Janta Party is in second place, followed by the Communist Party of India with 48,648 nominees, and then comes the Congress Party with 17,750 nominees.
Arvind Kejriwal Aam Aadmi Party, which has no presence in West Bengal, has fielded 13 candidates. Apart from these, 16293 independent candidates have filed for nominations.
