The North East Christian University (NECU) is a private university located in the state of Nagaland, North East India. It was established by The North East Christian University Act 2012 (Act No.4 of 2013) passed by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, which received the Assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 10.05.2013 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
At present, the University is based in Dimapur city in Nagaland acquired through the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) to establish the NECU city campus/
Centre. The main campus is located in Medziphema Village with an area covering 250 acres made available for NECU by the Government of Nagaland.
