Scheme of Financial Assistance/ ICAI Scholarships for CA Students registered in CA Intermediate and CA Final Course to be paid for the period of one-year i.e 01st April, 2023 to 31st March, 2024. Last date to apply for Scholarships for CA Students is 31st May 2023 (EXPECTED).

Board of Studies (BOS) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced Scholarship. Eligible candidates of CA Intermediate/ CA Intermediate and CA Final Course students shall receive Financial Assistance in lump sum for the period of one-year i.e 1-4-2023 to 31-3-2024.

BOS, ICAI awards various Scholarships to students, namely, Merit, Merit-cum-Need based and Need-based and Weaker Sections twice a year. Next scholarship shall be given by the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Accountant Students Benevolent Fund (CASBF). You may find the scholarship related announcements in the Student’s Journal- “The Chartered Accountant Student” calling applications for awarding the scholarships.

Who will get Financial Assistance or Scholarship?

  • CA Intermediate students who is serving articled training.
  • CA Final course students who has not completed Articleship training or industrial training.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for ICAI Scholarship?

The eligibility criteria for obtaining financial assistance from CASBF are as under:

  1. Valid registration in CA course;
  2. Currently undergoing articled/industrial training as per C.A .Regulations, 1988;
  3. Annual income of parents from all sources must be less than ₹ 3 Lakh.

The Board of Trustees of CASBF has decided to provide financial assistance of ₹1500/- p.m, for articled assistants who are registered for Intermediate course and ₹2000/- P.M. for those students registered for final course and are currently undergoing articled/industrial training in accordance with The Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

Needy, financially week but meritorious students perusing the Chartered Accountancy course may apply for financial assistance in prescribed application form. Financial Assistance will be given in lump sum for the period of one-year i.e. 01st April, 2023 to 31st March, 2024.

Students who are fulfilling the above criteria may apply for financial assistance from Chartered Accountants Students Benevolent Fund. Students may send their request in the prescribed Application form, duly filled in to the Member Secretary, Chartered Accountants Students Benevolent Fund at the following address so as to reach on or before 31st May 2023. The form can be downloaded from here under or official website of the Institute i.e. www.icai.org.

Students as above who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply in the prescribed Application form, duly filled in and recommended by any of Central Council Member/ Chairman/ Vice-Chairman/ Secretary of the Regional Council/ Ex-President/ Chairman/ Vice-Chairman and Member-Secretary/ Board of Trustees of CASBF and send to the Member Secretary, Chartered Accountants Students Benevolent Fund so as to reach at the following address latest by 31st May 2023.
