ICAI has increased the exam centres for CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations to be held in November and December 2023.

FAQs on ICAI 2023 CA Exams
Question-1: Whether student will be allowed to change his exam center from the one filled for Dec 2023 exams?
Answer: Yes, student has to fill the exam form afresh for Nov/Dec 2023 exams wherein he can opt for exam Centre of his choice. For students seeking change of examination city / medium for the Chartered Accountants Examination – November / December 2023, the correction window for the examination forms already filled will be available during 1st September 2023 [Friday] to 7th September 2023 [Thursday].
Question-2: Whether a student who had failed to fill exemptions available in May 2023 Exams, can he claim the exemptions in November 2023 Exams.
Answer: Yes, all exemptions due to students for May 2023 exams are carried forward for November 2023 exams and student can claim the same while filling exam form for November 2023.
Question-3: When will be the last attempt for Intermediate Old course?
Answer: Last attempt for Intermediate old course is November 2023 Examinations.
Question-4: When will be the last attempt for Final Old course students?
Answer: Last attempt for Final Old course is extended to Nov 2023 Examinations.
Question-5: Will the examinations be held in December or November?
Answer: Next CA Intermediate and Final examinations will be held in November 2023. CA Foundation exams will be conducted in the month of December 2023.
Question-6: If a student has cleared his one group in old scheme, can he migrate to Final New Scheme in November 2023?
Answer: Yes, the student may convert for Final New Course before filling of November 2023 examinations form. He will be required to appear in the balance group which was not passed in old scheme.
Question-7: Will ICAI cancel exam centers if sufficient number of candidates do not offer themselves to appear from newly added exam centers?
Answer: No, ICAI will not cancel any of the announced exam centers.
Question-8: Whether the students of Final New Course be allowed to change the elective subject while filling form for November 2023 exams.
Answer: Yes, the students are allowed to change elective subject of paper 6 while filling examination form for Nov 2023 Exams.
Question-9: Whether a student be allowed to change his medium of language while filling fresh examination forms for November 2023 Examinations.
Answer: Yes, since the student is required to fill fresh form for Nov 2023 exams, he is allowed to change medium of language for appearance in examination.
Question-10: Whether a student can apply in Group II under Old course and in Group I under the new course simultaneously in November 2023 Examination.
Answer: No, it is not permitted. The student can apply either in old course or in new course.
Question-11: I have passed both the groups of Intermediate Examination in May, 2023 examination and I am eligible for Final November, 2023 Examination. How I can register for Final Course as Final November, 2023 Examination is under the Old Scheme and registration for Final Course under the Old Scheme has closed after the launch of the New Scheme of Education and Training. How will I appear in Final November, 2023 Examination?
Answer: You may fill the registration form for Final Course under the New Scheme. However, when the window for November, 2023 examination form will open, you will be able to submit the examination form as per your eligibility.
Question-12: Whether validity of registration in Foundation/Intermediate /Final courses be extended for May/Nov 2023 exams.
Answer: No, validity of registration in Foundation / Intermediate / Final Courses will not be extended.
Question-13: Whether IPCC/Final Old Course students are allowed to convert to the Intermediate/Final New.
Answer: IPCC/ Final Old Course Students can at any time convert to Intermediate/Final New course of Revised Scheme of Education and Training. Students need not wait for the last attempt in their respective course to get over.
Question-14: Whether there will be relaxation in the eligibility criteria for provisionally registered students (who are in the Final year of the Graduation) through Direct Entry for submitting the mark sheet be granted.
Answer: The students are required to submit their graduation mark sheets within six months from the date of appearance in Final year of graduation examination. In other words, there is no need for relaxation. The provisional registration is valid up to six months from the date of appearance in the final level graduation exams.
Question-15: If Students complete AICITSS virtually, do they have to give the Advanced IT test.
