Job Description
Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors (BOD) and reports to Chairman-cum-Managing Director. He/ She is responsible for functioning of all Technology & Engineering Divisions involved in Design and Engineering activities covering Process Design, Heat & Mass Transfer Design, detailed engineering of Equipment, Piping, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation as well as speciality areas like Environment/ Water/ Safety, Information Technology and Research and Development.
He/She is also responsible for identifying process technologies, which could be of interest to EIL in future, and plan & coordinate research, design and development activities in those fields as well as collaboration where necessary.
He/She is required to provide overall guidance, support and constant upgradation of the technical skills of the employees to match the needs of the time and keeping abreast of latest developments. He/She is also required to maintain a close liaison with concerned Ministries, Government Institutions, Clients, Vendors, Contractors and Indian Embassies abroad.
Educational Qualification
The interested candidate should be an Engineering Graduate with good academic record from a recognized university/institution.
Note that applicant with degree in Chemical engineering will have an added advantage.
Applicant Age Limit
According to the PESB notification dated 03.01.2022, the minimum age of the applicant should be 45 years. The age of superannuation for this recruitment is 60 years.
On the date of occurrence of vacancy (DOV) i.e. 1st September, 2021.
Age of superannuation 60 years:
- Internal:
- Minimum: 45
- Maximum: 2 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
- Others:
- Minimum: 45
- Maximum: 3 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
Job Experience
The applicant should have adequate Technical/ Operational/ Project Management experience, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in a major Consultancy /Petroleum/ Petrochemical organization.
Job Salary
As per the official recruitment notification of PESB, the selected candidates will get the salary of ₹180000 to ₹340000 as per norms after joining EIL.
Appointment Duration
The appointment shall be for a period of:
- 5 years from joining date; or
- upto the date of superannuation; or
- until further orders,
whichever is earlier.
