CA Foundation passing marks
ICAI CA Foundation passing criteria for JAN 2025: CA Foundation passing marks is 200. Minimum marks required to pass in particular paper is 40 Marks. That means, candidates have to obtain at least 40% marks in each subjects and must score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in all the papers.

CA Foundation Rank
In accordance with the PARA No. 22 of CA Foundation Guidance Note published by ICAI for JAN 2025 examination, there will be no merit list declared. That means CA Institute had discontinued declaration of rank holders in CA Foundation level examinations. Further, ICAI will also not issue any pass certificate for CA Foundation course.
However, you may know the marks obtained by CA Foundation toppers in May 2018, Nov 2018, May 2019, Nov 2019 and Nov 2020. CA Foundation course was introduced from May 2018 in place of old course i.e. CA CPT.
Pass with distinction
CA Foundation candidates securing a minimum of 70% marks will be declared “Pass with Distinction” and such remarks will be indicated in the Result Card only.
Statement of Marks
CA Foundation JAN 2025 statement of marks will be sent by Post, soon after the declaration of result. However, in case you do not receive your marksheet within 30-45 days from the date of declaration of results, please write to dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
Withholding of Result
The result of such CA Foundation students whose eligibility to appear in the exam could not be established for want of submission of documentary evidence by the examinees, when called for, is liable to be withheld.
Further, the result of candidates who indulge in unfair means is also liable to be withheld. Such CA Foundation students, whose results are withheld, will be sent a written communication in this regard soon after the results.
