Section 402 of Companies Act 2013: Application of provisions of Information Technology Act, 2000
Section 402 shall come into force on 1st April, 2014 vide Notification No. S.O. 902(E) issued dated 27.03.2014.

All the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 relating to the electronic records, including the manner and format in which the electronic records shall be filed, in so far as they are not inconsistent with this Act, shall apply in relation to the records in electronic form specified under section 398.
Important Notes on Section 402
Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act 2020) is an Act of the Indian Parliament notified on 17 October 2000. IT Act 2000 is the primary law dealing with cybercrime and electronic commerce in India. It applies also to any offence or contravention thereunder committed outside India by any person.
