To become Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), you have to clear three level of examinations conducted by ICMAI Institute. Foundation course is the first stage or starting level of examination for becoming Cost and Management Accountant in India. CMA Foundation Course Admission for Dec 2021 Exam
Today, we shall be able to know about student registration for CMA Foundation Course under New Syllabus-2016. The first examination under New syllabus 2016 was conducted in June 2017 term of examination. The next CMA-Cost Foundation examination shall be conducted in Dec 2021.
Eligibility for Admission to CMA Foundation Course:
If you are in Class X, you may plan for get admission to foundation course but not eligible for registration in CMA Foundation Course. After appearing in 10+2 examination, you may register yourself for CMA Foundation course of ICMAI Institute.
In other words, those students who have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution and appear for his/her Higher Secondary examination (10+2) shall be eligible for Oral/Postal admission to CMA Foundation Course.
However, if you are waiting for the result of/or not passed SSE/HS/10+2 examination then your registration shall be provisional. That means the minimum qualification for registration as a student of CMA Institute is Class XII.
Additionally, the following examination Passed Students shall also be eligible for admission in CMA Foundation Course under New Syllabus 2016:
- Senior Secondary Examination (SSE) under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board; or
- An Examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to 10+2; or
- Passed National Diploma in Commerce Examination held by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council; or
- The Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.
Fee for Registration in CMA Foundation Course:
You are required to pay fee of ₹6,000 for CMA Foundation Course registration. If you want to buy prospectus of Foundation Course, then you have to pay ₹250/- additionally.

CMA Foundation Course Registration for Dec 2021 Exams
Admission to CMA Foundation course for the ICAI course is open throughout the year. However, the CMA Institute has set cut-off dates or last date for registration for appearing in June/December term of examinations.
Accordingly, you have to take admission in CMA Foundation Course at least 4 months prior to the month of Examination to be eligible to appear in the Foundation Examination. Accordingly, students desirous to appear for June term examination should apply before 31st January of that year and for December term examination should apply before 31st July of that year.
Admission last date to appear in December 2021 Exams:
CMA Foundation registration last date 2021: The last date of registration for CMA Foundation Course is 10th August, 2021 for appearing in Dec 2021 term of examinations vide Notification Ref. No.: G/128/7/2021-22 dated 26-July-2021. That means, if you want to appear for CMA Foundation December 2021 term examination then, you should have to apply for admission between 1st February, 2021 to 10th August 2021.
Admission last date to appear in June 2022 Exams:
Students desirous to appear for June 2022 term examination of CMA Foundation Course then, they should apply between 11th August 2021 to 31st January 2022. In other words, the last date of registration for CMA Foundation Course is 31-01-2022 for appearing in June 2022 term of examinations.

You may either buy physical registration form or apply online for admission to CMA foundation course under New Syllabus 2016.

However, you have to keep some compulsory required documents before applying online for admission in CMA Foundation Course. How to apply online for CMA Foundation Admission
Here is the step-by-step online process for registration for CMA Foundations course under New syllabus 2016. The next examination under the New Syllabus 2016 shall be conducted in Dec 2021. Step-2 (Online Application Form):
Now, you may proceed for online application and click on foundation text link shown in the middle of that web page. You will be asked to select either oral coaching or postal coaching.
Coaching Type:
- Oral Coaching: If you opt for Oral Coaching mode, you have to attend oral coaching classes at Chapter/Regional Councils of the institute selected by you. You need to collect Study Materials from concerned Regional Council / Chapter / CMA Support Centre after receipt intimation from HQ by SMS/email.
- Postal Coaching: Students opting Postal Coaching mode shall have to submit answer to Postal test papers only.

i) Course Information: Enrollment Type, Course Type, Region/Chapter and Coaching Type.
ii) General Information: Your Name, Father/Husband Name, Mother’s Maiden Name, Nationality, Religion, Date of Birth, Caste, Gender, Marital Status and Occupation.
b) Address Details: Permanent and present Address.
c) Qualification Details: CLASS X or SSC or CLASS XII
d) Payment: You may make payment using your Debit/Credit card or net banking.
e) Attachment: Upload the required documents viz. Passport Photo, Specimen Signature, Age Proof, Pass Marksheet etc.

Once you successfully upload all the required scanned documents and make payment online, you will receive a welcome message.
2) Reg. Number:
Identification/ Registration Number will be generated only after completion of document verification and authentication from the Directorate of studies.
3) Study Materials:
Study Material will be dispatched after generation of Identification/ Registration Number.
4) Compliance:
Applicants are advised to ensure proper compliance and documentation.
5) Incomplete Application Form:
Incomplete applications will be available in the system for further completion for a period of 30 days from the date of original application. During this period, an applicant may complete the remaining procedures. Beyond 30 days, no previous information will be available in the system and an applicant shall have to proceed for making fresh application.
